Winter in California

I mean, seriously, it's like a still out of Endless Summer. Not good if you're a skier. Great if you're a runner, biker, surfer, paddler or any sort of outdoor enthusiast that DOESN'T need snow.

But I can't complain. It was cool to see all the people out on Ocean Beach a couple of weeks ago enjoying a warm afternoon and a gorgeous sunset. Life is good to us here. Besides, this past week just brought a ton of freshies to the Sierra and badly needed rainfall around the bay. So one weekend you go running and tool around SF on your motorcycle and the next you're in your Sorels driving into a snowstorm.

A little more rainfall would be nice, though. A solid February and March to rock it on the slopes before putting the skis away for the season. Of course, there's always Argentina. Or Japan where Dennis insists the powder is epic. Really? Japan?
