Best. Valentines. Day. Ever.

Oh, so much to share but I give you just a few shots for now.

Went to Whistler this past weekend to ski with David, Shawn, Dennis and Peter - 4 fantastic skiers, 4 great, smart and wickedly funny guys, 4 40-somethings still tearing around the mountain like they own it. Our first day - Powder Mountain Catskiing.

Amazing untracked snow, incredible views, a well-run outfit with great guides, cookies and chocolate, a tricked-out cat, beer at the end and the whole thing documented by a professional photog. I mean, seriously. I had no idea how good it could be! 8-9 runs, freshies after a week of no new snow, the quiet away from the din of the crowds and lifts of Whistler, high-fiving with your ski buds at the top and bottom of every run!

All credit goes to Dennis for trying to get us to catski every year, for Shawn saying this was the year, and for David who put out the call at the 11th hour saying commit or.....well, that was the only choice actually. I went in with no expectations and came out with one of the best ski experiences of a lifetime.

What Valentines will ever match? Flowers? Candy? Psssh. Catskiing!

Additional thanks to the wives (Katy, Maureen and Erin) who let their husbands off for the weekend to make for the best Valentines Day dates this girl could ask for. Except possibly for the addition of Logan, our extraordinary photographer. THAT might make for the bestest Valentines Day ever.
