Crossfit Girls Rule
Um, wow. I'm in awe of all the Crossfit girls but I stumbled across this video featuring Juli Bauer from Denver, Colorado and her efforts at the Crossfit Regional Games. Nails, girl. Nice work. I like your attitude and your blog. Check out her post on Inner Strength from July 5th here.

gh to inspire me to find a way to make paleo possible in my life. Or paleo-zone. Or maybe paleo-wine-zone? Every article I read says it's not enough to think that training and activity will see you through. If you really want to do better, get stronger, run faster and see marked improvement it has to come from nutrition as well.
Of course, I know this. I do. I don't have a problem with food, I just have a problem with having to think so much about food. What's that saying - what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? I'd dive right into the big nutritional X factor and see how my body responds. When I eat, what I eat, how I eat, where I eat, why I eat. I'd document and experiment and read and listen and take notes and ask questions. And then i'd write a book like Tim Ferris and make money and TV appearances and get free avocados for life.
Food is a slippery slope. I can do great for a day, maybe a week, then tank at night, or tank at the first spread of cheese and bread to jump in my path, or bagels at work, or apres ski, or apres trail run, or stress, or wine. How is it I have the fortitude to train for a 50k or 50M, go to Crossfit, segue to outrigger paddling, do pushups on my vacation and still, food levels me?
Okay, I can do this. As blogger is my witness, I will do this. I'll set a time period and I'll commit to it for the duration. Do you hear that people? Uhh, after Colorado. Before? After? Sidebar. Stay tuned.
