Things I'm Digging Right Now
Super rad surfer girls pulling totally killer moves. Surf styles have grown all freaky styley while I wasn't paying attention. Awesome. Catch the trailer here.
Inov-8 F Lite 230s.
So I'm late to the minimalist running shoe thing. My friend Chris rocked a cool brand at Crossfit one afternoon that I liked, then Josh wore these and I couldn't get them out of my mind. I pulled the trigger when tall, dark and handsome passed by me at San Francisco Crossfit wearing a pair. Perhaps if I was sporting the same shoe...? Of course I don't really believe that (no, really, I don't) but I ordered them all the same. And that's all I can say about that because they haven't arrived, but I'm definitely digging the anticipation of their arrival.
Sugar by Flo-Rida featuring Wynter Gordon. Super catchy beat with an Eiffel 65 sample. The perfect tune for an afternoon of wine tasting after a paddling race.

Being reunited with my motorcycle. Yes, it's been cold and rainy, but we've gone out a few times and it makes me happy just to see it there.
A push-up challenge with friends. Add one a day to the previous day's total for 80 days (note strategic end date prior to trail running around Colorado the next week).
Always and forever: Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Congratulations on your 6th French Open title, Rafa.
The 4-Hour Body. Someone recently asked me what part of it I was following and the truth is none of it, and some of it. It's really just an interesting read no matter where you open the book and dive in. Sleep, sex, body work, diet, performance - these are Tim Ferriss's detailed personal findings after using himself and his friends as test cases. He's not saying follow all and you will receive total enlightenment. He's saying this is everything I tried and this is what worked for me. Give it a go. I have no idea where the 4 hours comes into play. Then again, I haven't read his 4 Hour Work Week book in its entirety so I can't claim that that's worked either. Must focus.
