All I Want for Christmas

There's something slightly wistful about waking up to a raging snowstorm in a king-sized bed in the mountains, wrapped in blankets and flannel sheets, your ski gear strewn about the room in eager anticipation and no one beside you to get excited with. It's kind of like waking up on Christmas morning expecting to see your family and a tree lined with presents and finding it empty.

Almost as sad is driving to Squaw while the snow turns to pouring rain.

Santa, my brother wants a job, my sister wants a windfall of cash to pay off her student loans, my mom wants me to have a permanent home and I want a great guy who loves to ski as much as I do. If I'm asking for too much then you can scale my list back to a new pair of skis - some rockered phatties, please.

Happy holidays everybody!
