SFOCC at Alcatraz tomorrow

Tomorrow kicks off this season's return to long distance outrigger racing with the Round the Rock Challenge sponsored by He'e Nalu. Racing around Alcatraz, from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge set against the stunning bay area landscape we call home - it's an incredible race to be a part of, to race, to watch, to cheer and with a great turnout from the outrigger community.

I'm super stoked to get back to long distance racing (after sweeping victories in our final 1k and 2k races at the NCOCA Sprint Championships, thank you very much) with my team, my paddle-girl Jessica, amongst new friends from other clubs, with the different challenge that comes from long distance racing and the ever-changing waters that surround us. Catalina is calling!

Here's an excellent video from last year's race. Great water, great day. Good luck to everyone racing tomorrow! Aloha.
