90 Lost Minutes

90 minutes I will never get back were spent trying to digest one of the worst movies I've ever seen - Marley and Me. Can someone please explain the meaning behind this movie? To wit: couple gets a dog; dog is never trained; dog destroys anything in it's path; couple has kids; couple buys bigger house; dog continues to wreak havoc; couple fights; dog still a pain in the ass; couple has more kids; dog gets sick; montage of happier dog moments; dog dies; family grieves. Really? Not cute, not funny, not poignant.

I mean, seriously, what the hell was anyone thinking when they made, directed, produced, and promoted this movie? I'm getting a headache just remembering it. Worst. Movie. Ever. Or that comes to mind right now.

In other news, it was a banner 48 hours for friends of the bay area athletic scene. Between the Ironman Championships, the Dick Collins 50 miler, the Bizz Johnson Trail Marathon and the Moab 24-hour mountain bike race, there was furious emailing of pre-race well wishes, frantic texting for mid-day results and a flurry of of post-race congratulations across the board.

Congrats to all who participated in the vast landscape of activities going on. My personal insight into Bizz Johnson to follow shortly.

Were you at Bizz Johnson? Are you running again? I thought you were doing the outrigger thing... if you're back running, let's go!! (well, give me a week or so to recover from FT...)

Oh she's back and she...well not my story to tell. We will just have to wait for her report.

Yeehaa thanks for the well wishes. Glad you and the gals had an awesome day. Can't wait to see the pictures.
