The Money Shot

Jim sent me this picture he took from one of our earlier training runs out of Rodeo Beach. It was cold and damp and we were shivering in the parking lot waiting to start. But as we slowly made our way up, the fog gave way to blue skies until we were completely above it all with just the tips of the Golden Gate Bridge poking out in the distance.

These are the things that stay with you; not the blisters, the aches and pains, the early morning hours rising in the dark to go run. It's the places you've been and the things you've seen just outside your doorstep.

Damn that is a money shot, like the other one you took of your crew going down a hill. I love this freakin place. I have to remember that cause it's going to hurt come Saturday and the Saturday after that.

P.S. I think you're life partner is jealous that you're running all these trails. Will you take her with your already when she heals.
